BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. Wins CVNL Heart of Marin Award for Corporate Community Service

For more than three decades, the Heart of Marin Awards has been the premier celebration of the individuals, businesses, and nonprofits who make Marin a healthier, more compassionate, and resilient community. Hosted annually by Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership (CVNL), this signature event shines a spotlight on the people and organizations whose dedication and service inspire us all.

The Corporate Community Service Award is presented to a business that has fostered and encouraged volunteerism and philanthropy among its employees.  The 2025 Heart of Marin Award for Corporate Community Service was presented to BioMarin Pharmaceutical.

BioMarin Pharmaceutical received the award for Corporate Community Service (sponsored by CVNL) for embedding philanthropy and volunteerism into its company culture. Through paid volunteer hours, matching gifts, and hands-on initiatives addressing food insecurity, homelessness, and health disparities, BioMarin mobilizes employees to make a meaningful local impact.
