Congratulations to all NBLC Members Nominated for a CVNL Heart of Marin Award

For more than three decades, the Heart of Marin Awards has been the premier celebration of the individuals, businesses, and nonprofits who make Marin a healthier, more compassionate, and resilient community. Hosted annually by Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership (CVNL), this signature event shines a spotlight on the people and organizations whose dedication and service inspire us all.

The Corporate Community Service Award is presented to a business that has fostered and encouraged volunteerism and philanthropy among its employees. Nominees included NBLC members Bank of America and BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc.

The Volunteer of the Year Award and $5,000 for the recipient’s nonprofit is presented to an individual (other than a board member) who has provided exemplary volunteer service to a Marin nonprofit organization. Nominees included NBLC member company Canal Alliance. Voces del Canal and Aurelia Vargas both representing Canal Alliance were nominated in this category.

The Achievement in Nonprofit Excellence Award and $5,000 is presented to an organization that has demonstrated exemplary service to their constituents. NBLC member Dominican University of California was nominated in this category.
