First 5 Moving Santa Rosa Offices
First 5 Sonoma County is moving its offices to central Santa Rosa.
The nonprofit signed a lease, which starts June 1, for 5,153 square feet in a Basin Street Properties office and retail campus. The new location at 120 Stony Point Road, Suite 155, is more centrally located in the county, according to First 5 Sonoma County’s executive director.
“Many of our community partners, including 4Cs (Community Child Care Council) and Community Foundation Sonoma County are located nearby, supporting deeper collaboration and relationship-building,” said Angie Dillon-Shore in the May 15 announcement from the property owner. 4Cs and the foundation also are based in that complex.
Currently, First 5 Sonoma County’s offices are at 5340 Skylane Blvd. near the regional airport north of Santa Rosa.
Started in 1999 after the signing of Proposition 10 a year earlier, First 5 Sonoma County is part of a statewide network that advocates for the healthy development of children from the prenatal stage through age five by investing public funds in early education, family resilience and access to health and developmental resources.
“Their commitment to early childhood development and equity aligns perfectly with the values we support in our tenant community,” said Scott Stranzl, chief portfolio officer at Basin Street Properties.
Nick Abbott of North Bay Property Advisors represented First 5 Sonoma County in the lease deal. Brian Keegan, Shawn Johnson and Dave Peterson of Keegan & Coppin Co. Inc. represented Basin Street Properties.
