Soiland Co., Inc. Opens New Yard & Garden Location in Santa Rosa

Soiland Co., Inc., the leading producer of high-quality construction and landscaping materials in the North Bay, announced today the opening of Yard & Garden, a new retail location at the corner of Llano Road and Highway 12 in Santa Rosa. In addition, the family-owned company is bringing all operations and its four locations under a single name: Soiland Materials. These changes reflect the company’s continued investment in serving the local construction and landscaping industries while strengthening its role in recycling and material reuse.

The new Yard & Garden location offers an expanded selection of soils, composts, mulches, and amendments for homeowners, contractors, landscapers, and gardeners. It also brings together aggregate materials sourced from Soiland’s Rock Quarry and Soils Plus operations, including gravel, sand, rock, drain rock, and other construction and landscape products – making a wider range of materials available in one convenient location.

“Opening this new Yard & Garden location and bringing everything together under the Soiland Materials name helps us serve our community and industry better,” said Mark Soiland, Owner & CEO of Soiland Materials. “Soiland is my family name, and it’s been part of this area and this business for generations. We have been, and plan to remain, a locally owned and locally operated company, rooted in Sonoma County and committed to locally sourced materials.”

The opening of Yard & Garden is part of a broader operational shift designed to better serve the community and improve material flow. The existing Grab N’ Grow site further down Llano Road will transition to Green Recycling Center, a dedicated site for dropping off green debris, branches, and wood that will be recycled on-site into soils and compost. All customer pick-ups of soil, compost, and landscaping materials will move to the new Yard & Garden site. As Sonoma County’s only privately held composting facility, the company will increase local production of soil and compost and reduce the outflow of organic materials to other counties while creating a more efficient customer experience.

Soiland Materials’ new Yard & Garden location is currently open for business as retail operations transition from the former Grab N’ Grow site. The company plans a public Grand Opening event with product discounts and a selection of merchandise on Saturday, March 14, 2026.

The opening of the new location coincides with a company-wide brand unification. Stony Point Rock Quarry, Soils Plus, Green Recycling Center (formerly Grab N’ Grow), and the new Yard & Garden location now operate under the Soiland Materials name. A refreshed logo accompanies the change, featuring a pile of material set at the angle of repose - the way materials such as loam, gravel, or soil naturally come to rest – a fitting symbol for the day-to-day work at Soiland Materials’ four yards.

Across its operations, Soiland Materials is expanding its commitment to sustainability and the circular economy. In addition to green debris composting, the company processes and reuses concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials at its quarry and soils facilities. These efforts reduce waste, conserve natural resources, and keep valuable materials in productive use within the local economy.

Aside from the new name, logo, and locations, Soiland Materials remains committed to its core strengths – supplying high-quality, locally sourced construction and landscaping materials and serving homeowners, contractors, landscapers, and local businesses with consistency, care, and respect for the land.
